Winter Zoom Series - We will do this again in 2027!

• Motivational Monday – January 5th at 8:00 PM with Megan Ward
  What keeps you going through the winter months? For me, it’s education that I can access at home. Curling up with a book or a laptop is the best way to ride out an Iowa winter storm. Let’s explore the USDF University programs and share our favorite books and online content.

• Theory Tuesday - January 13th at 8:00 PM Working Equitation with Lois Pienkos
  Join members Lois Pienkos and Kelly Kramer to hear about their experiences with Working Equitation. WE is an equestrian sport from Southern Europe (Spain, Portugal, France, Italy) that tests a horse's versatility, precision, and partnership with the rider through four phases: Dressage (classical movements), Ease of Handling (obstacles like gates, bridges), Speed (timed obstacles), and often Cattle Work (team penning). The focus is on harmony, control, and building practical skills. Any horse breed in English or Western tack are welcome.

• Goal Getters Wednesday - Jan 21st at 8:00 PM Stop Dreaming and Start Scheming with Megan Ward
  Come share your goals past, present, and future. As a community we are rich in history, knowledge and resources. Let’s help each other on our equestrian journeys through tales of ‘whoa’ and stories of success! Here’s a chance to connect with others and celebrate our community.

•  Throwback Thursday - Book Club! January 29th at 8:00 PM with Megan Ward
  Catch up with what happened in 2025 with the USDF Book Club. Discuss the books, find out how to watch past webinars, how to get credit for participating!

• Motivational Monday – February 2nd at 8:00 PM Bravely Going Forward with Tammy Lisi
  Whether it is building a relationship with a horse or a business partner, it’s all about turning the dream into reality through developing your inner confidence to go for it. We’ll discuss how to dismantle the inner critic as well as the outer critics.

• Theory Tuesday - February 10th at 8:00 PM You Be The Judge with Megan Ward
  We will do a deep dive into the USDF educational offering that lets the user try their hand at judging, compares data from others and explains the how and why of dressage scores and comments.

• Goal Getters Wednesday - February 18th at 8:00 PM Following Your Stars with Kate Kostenbader
  Dressage is both a sport and an art. Following the competition of world renown trainers and riders can motivate and mentor you!

•  Throwback Thursday - Feb 26th at 8:00 PM Fox Hunting – Fun Outside the Sandbox with Katie Hall
  Join us with Katie Hall to explore the fun and social activity. Several equestrian disciplines, like Eventing, can trace their origins to fox hunting. They use similar training programs to prepare their horses for jumping, overall fitness, coordination, and confidence. Learn how you and your horse can join in!
