Most of us understand how different types of nutrition affect our performance and longevity, but have you ever thought about it in terms of what your horse eats and how it affects them? Nutrition is key to performance and longevity of our horses. Regardless of the type of feed you use, this meeting will explain the benefits of different types of nutrition and how your horse can benefit from each.
Abby Keegan, M.S., PAS, an Equine Nutritionist for Cargill Feed & Nutrition, will spend the evening educating us about the role nutrition plays in our horses daily life. Abby received her B.S. in Animal Science from Iowa State University, M.S. from Kansas State University. She enjoys connecting research and development with real-world application, helping Cargill create new products, services and solutions that support improving the health of the horse. Over the last 15 years, she has professionally consulted on equine nutrition, lectured at several veterinary schools, spoken at multiple AAEP Sunrise Sessions, and taught Continuing Education courses for veterinarians many states across the United States.
